Find Router’s IP Address

If your router address is, then you can type this in the address bar to access the admin page of your router. However, if you don’t know the correct IP address, then here is how you can find it.

  1. On your computer, you can go to the ‘Start’ menu and open ‘Command Prompt. Now, enter ‘ipconfig’ and hit ‘Enter’. You will see a lot of information on the screen, then scroll down to ‘Local Area Connection’ and find the IP address labeled as ‘Default Gateway’.

Reset The Router To Restore Old Working Settings

As you change the settings of your router, it may cease to work or have a problematic network connection. It is, therefore advised to note the previous working settings before making any changes to the router’s settings. However, if that didn’t make the router work, then you can reset the router to factory defaults. For this, you can press ‘Reset’ button on the router using a pen or paperclip for 20 seconds.
